Hey everyone! Saw this on a church sign a few weeks ago and thought it was worth sharing:
“The smallest deed is better than the greatest intention.”
Sometimes it’s easy to forget the seemingly small things we can do to make an impact. There’s nothing wrong with having big dreams and visions for ministry, but don’t forget the simple, day-to-day things. Smile warmly, call your friend, give to a person in need, visit someone who’s having a hard time, exercise your gifts, work with a diligent hand. If you want to make a difference for Yah’s kingdom but the details are fuzzy, don’t be discouraged. Ask Yahweh to show you the next step. Take that step, if even a small one, and trust Yah with the rest.
I was reminded of a couple songs, which I’ve linked below. The first is called “The Very Next Thing,” by Casting Crowns. The second is called “Little Things,” by my brother Chris Kelley. Good songs — I encourage you to check them out.
Shalom!
James 1:27 — “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” (NASB 1995)
Such a great message, Jonathan. This kinda hit home with some of what I’ve just been praying about today.💗🙏 And, two awesome, awesome songs!!!

Great reminder, Jonathan! “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much.” Luke 16:10
…and “Little Things” is one of my all-time favorite songs…regardless of who wrote it! ‘-)
